The Diagram Brothers.
At Offset a few months back i had the pleasure of meeting Andy Diagram. Mr. Diagram was the bassist/ trumpeter from the Diagram Brothers and also played in Dislocation Dance, The Pale Fountains and later James.
It was great to meet a man I had spent so much time listening too. Unfortunately when I did get to meet him I was out of my box, I have a feeling I probably embarressed myself. At one point I do  remember him asking me to repeat what I had said to him 5 times. This means i was probably talking complete bollocks. shit.
I’m going to put up my favourite Diagrams and Dislocation Dance stuff. As well as a great interview from a few years ago when they all got together in a pub in Manchester to discuss the past 25 years since they played together.

Andy also told me that they were trying to get the rights off the BBC to release the Diagram Brothers Peel Sessions, I think this is a amazing idea, the tracks from the 3 Peel Sessions are all great (especially ‘Tracy’ and ‘The Expert’), I’d love to own them on vinyl. I think some sort of facebook petition should be circulated.
